Billy Novick has been involved in filmscoring since the early 1980's. He has been featured as  a composer, arranger, orchestrator and studio musician on more than 100 films and television shows, along with dozens of commercials.

COMPOSING FOR MUSIC LIBRARIES
Mr. Novick has been very busy over the last ten years composing music for various music libraries. Music composed for music libraries is often called Production Music. Music from a music library can be licensed for use in television, commercials and movies (it is generally uncredited). Below is a list of some of the recordings of Novick's library music. Most of it has been recorded for the Sonoton Music Library, with Paul Lenart as Novick's collaborator. The Sonoton music library, based in Germany, is one of the largest music libraries, and Novick's library music is used all over the world.

Billy Novick has also composed music for a number of museums, including music for the Smithsonian National Museum of American History (exhibit: "The Price of Freedom: Americans at War") and the musical score for Footsteps to the West , shown at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in Casper, Wyoming.
